Information for Sellers

This is quite understandable. However, we are conducting ourselves as recommended by the government:

• We confirm with the buyers that they are not considered high risk (see the downloadable document below).
• We will have a formal greeting at the front of the home with the buyer/s, complying with social distancing rules
• Discuss with the buyer that only 10 PEOPLE can go through at a time (including the agent)
• Advised that they are not to touch anything
• Supply the buyers with hand sanitiser if they don't have their own
• If stocks allow, we will offer disposable gloves for their use.

Some things that you can do to help, include:

• Opening all doors, so that buyers don't need to touch door handles
• Turning on all the lights, so that buyers don't need to touch light switches
• Ensuring that you minimise any contact with either agent or buyers and ensure social distancing as well.

You should also consider using a disinfectant on light switches, door handles and household surfaces after the visit has finished, just in case people have inadvertently touched anything.

These days it is expected that a video be completed for your property when it goes on the market for sale, as well as professional photos! Buyers trust videos more than just photos alone and get a better idea where rooms are located. In our COVID-19 Marketplace, buyers will look at properties with video first!
